Council Members
The Council of the IMA manages the operations of IMA, and is governed by the policies set by the Business Meeting. In this way, the national societies who are members of the IMA control the work of IMA through the national delegates that they send to the Business Meeting.
The Council consists of an Executive Committee, two additional officers and five ordinary Councilors. All members of Council are elected by the Business Meeting and serve the entire IMA; they are not delegates of national societies.
The Executive Committee executes the general business of the IMA between the times of the Business Meetings, with the guidance of the entire Council membership. Council usually meets formally once or twice a year to officially record and decide on policies, but remains in continuous contact and discussion on all matters concerning IMA. If you have questions about the operation of IMA, please contact the Secretary. If you have questions about IMA policies, please contact the President.
