IMA Awards
The highest recognition at IMA is the IMA Medal for Excellence in Mineralogical Research. It was created by a decision of Council in 2006. Since 2017, the IMA medal is awarded annually. Initiated by Patrick Cordier during his vice-presidency, the IMA Ph.D. Student award is intended to honor and support outstanding Ph.D. students by providing them the opportunity to present their research at an international level to forge new collaborations and ideas, and further develop their career.
