IMA Meetings

Every four years, IMA general meeting is hosted by one of the national member societies. The meeting provides a forum for mineralogists and related scientists from around the world to:

  • Present and discuss the latest research in mineralogy and related fields.
  • Exchange information and ideas across diverse subfields of mineralogy
  • Conduct business meetings
  • Conduct official meetings for IMA Commissions/Working Groups
  • Participate in specialized, short courses and field excursions.
